Barbara Scheelje’s history with Abington Hospital goes back more than half a century. In the 1950s she attended what was then Abington’s School of Medical Technology. That led to a job in Abington’s medical lab, where she continued to work until her retirement in 2000.
Richard Snyder, M.D., is a highly distinguished pulmonologist and long-time leader at Abington. Former president of the medical staff, he is the current medical director for critical care and a member of the Abington Health Foundation Board of Trustees.
